Name of the Project: Under the same sky!

Duration: 6 months

Abstract: In the World we live millions people together. But because of living different countries, we don't know each other. We have just our prejudice about the others. Our purpose is to teach our students that we are big, when we're together and the World is big enough to live together.With this project we will encourage students to get to know each other and become friends by familiarizing them with European culture

Goals:

-enhance their communication skills and language

-learn to use web 2.0 tools

-enhance their knowledge of European culture

-enhance their writing skills

- learn empathy

- teach new culture to students from different country

- use technology, new apps or program in education by students

- make an acculturation among the students

Work Process

12^th of January –Webinar for teachers to take their ideas and suggestions

14^th of February   -create a logo using logomaker , canva and choose the logo that will represent the project

28^th of February   - to introduce yourself using voki  or motion portrait. (Your name, age, likes and dislikes, family, hobbies, favourites) (That’s start of Step 1:"WHO AM I?")

11^th of March -post 2 answers for each student’s presentation using the forum

18^th of March -to prepare a video about your family and the place you live and post them on twinspace

25^th of March -prepare a questionnaire and ask questions related to their family life (google form) and create a slogan and shoot a video.

29^th March –combine all the videos and share it on twinspace

16^th of April -prepare an online kahoot for all the students to play together in forms of their groups .The questions will be related to their life, family.

18^th of April - organize a web meeting for teachers to evaluate the project and take suggestions related to the activities.

24^th of April - prepare a presentation about an important person in their country or culture (each ss will prepare one and they will make an e book) and at the same time since it is April 23 international Children’s Day are approaching,they can prepare videos by wearing special costumes for their friend to celebrate) (That’s the step 2: IF I WERE YOU,..." For this process, the students should act, as if they are different person, they have different culture. They should make video while acting. By this way they learn and teach empathy, they realize how the people feel.)

29^th of April-organize a web meeting for pupils and reflect on the work they have done so far

6^th of May -prepare a presentation on a padlet related to their favourite books, films, and an idol person)

17 ^th of May -Prepare a poll for students to evaluate their work on google forms, mentimeter, surveymonkey

22^th of May –They can create a presentation comparing and contrasting their culture and country with their peers.(they are free to use any tools here or maybe partner teachers can suggest tools in the mid evaluation webinar) (This is the Step 3: WE'RE ALL TOGETHER)

Expected results

-After the project students will be able to get to know the partner peers.

-They will be aware of the differences in daily life and their school life.

-They will learn the important figures in opposite cultures.

-They will be able to develop their speaking and writing skills.

-They will learn to use different Web 2.0 tools and they will be able to improve their language skills.

-They will learn to work collaboratively
